Green. The eyes were shocking green, staring up at me from the palm of the young girl's hands.
"You're here for something, yes?" Her voice was low and sultry, drawing me deeper into the shop.
"What do you want to know, Kannen?"
"That's my name."
The girl laughed, her palms stilled splayed, the eyes staring at me.
"Of course it is. What else would I call you? Now tell me; what is it you are here for?"
She lowered her hands, sitting on the edge of the circle in the middle of the room.
"I want to know what destiny is."
